Red Orchid is our top contender for the smoothest and most flavorful cup of black coffee you can get your hands on. This Castillo variety is medium roasted and originates from Bolivar, Colombia. The careful washing and roasting process results in an incredibly well-balanced cup of coffee with hints of chocolate, sugar cane, and orange.

This coffee is cultivated at a higher altitude than others, reaching 6,900 feet above sea level. Coffee grown at higher altitudes is generally considered to be of higher quality. This is because coffee plants that grow at higher elevations are exposed to cooler temperatures, slowing the ripening process and allowing the coffee cherries to develop more complex flavors.
